Midtown

Midtown is a peaceful, car-friendly neighborhood in the Greater Calgary area, making it easy to find parking and access the nearby highway. Daycares are conveniently within walking distance, and groceries can easily be obtained on foot. The area is mainly composed of quiet, single detached homes, built after 2000, with spacious bedrooms. It's a flat ride to most locations but less friendly to cyclists and pedestrians. Overall, Midtown offers a tranquil and convenient lifestyle for those seeking a comfortable, modern home in a peaceful setting within Airdrie.

The character of Midtown is exemplified by its calm ambience. Midtown is very quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about 55% of dwellings in Midtown, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of Airdrie is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in the neighbourhood and 20% are rented. A majority of the housing growth in this part of the city has taken place following the year 2000.

A grocery store is generally reachable within a reasonably short trip from most houses for sale in Midtown. In addition, a coffee shop is commonly just around the corner, and residents of this part of Airdrie benefit from about 10 restaurants as well. When it comes to education, daycares are straightforward to get to without a vehicle from anywhere in Midtown. In contrast, there are only a few primary schools and high schools in Midtown and thus they can be a rather long trip away.

The car is very often the preferred method to navigate this part of the city. It is convenient to park, and nearby highways are reasonably easy to drive to from anywhere in Midtown. However, public transit users may find limited choices in this area by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Midtown is conducive to biking as the bicycling infrastructure is good, and there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. This part of the city is not especially suitable for those who get around as pedestrians since running day-to-day errands is at times challenging without a car.
